Rated 4 out of 5 by Richard E from Fits my needs This is the second sentry safe of this type I’ve purchased. I love the simplicity and durability, and has a pretty good fire rating. The only thing(s) I don’t like, is there’s no secondary option to open the safe, so if the key pad goes out there’s no other options to open the safe. Most other safes I own have the secondary key option. The other issue is the lack of shelving. Other than that I’m pretty happy with the safe

Was really happy I bought this safe until I saw all the You tube videos of it being unlocked with a simple magnet in 5 seconds. Now I have no confidence in its security. Manufacturer said it’s been fixed to protect against magnets but how can I be sure since I don’t have a magnet. Why isn’t there a video on Utube from the manufacturer showing magnets being unable to unlock this safe????

I contacted customer service and they were very helpful in determining the correct model in which I could place my laptops without tilting them. I found an excellent price online and received the safe yesterday. As received condition was excellent and installation was easy. I chose not to bolt down the safe to maintain water-resistance. Primary application is fire-protection (and water protection from fire fighting) and protection against smash-and-grab type theft. I don't expect or need to have protection against professional safe crackers. The weight of the unit was just manageable for me (70 years old) using a two-wheeled hand cart.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Broski from This is my 4th safe, all with cosmetic issues. after unpacking and Installing batteries, door did not unlock with the default code until like the 4th try. Edges are not well aligned, you can see some kind of cement or powder/rocks on the edges, when I first opened the safe it was dirty in the inside with white sand/cement. Was not impress , but price is fair, size is perfect. I wonder if after a fire, the plastic keypad and handle will melt?

We upgraded to this model and I am in awe of it's size everytime I open it. The previous safe once Jan packed, loaded to complete capacity, this one has enough space for 2-3 family's documents. Sentry really is the best for options, operation, style and capacity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kitkat from Good safe not so on packing I love the safe because it does hold a lot of documents and it’s the right size for my house however the safe I got had dings and dents all over it.You would think you would have a better packaging for it. I am in the process of waiting either get a reduction on the price or a new safe. It’s a little difficult for me and have to have several people help to move it since I am disabled and cannot do it by myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SKennedy from Would Make an Attractive End Table--- After a small struggle getting the battery holder removed and installing new batteries, opening the safe was easy. Programming my own code is simple and easy; however, the five seconds time allotted seems to pass rather fast. I was a little skeptical if two cubic feet was going to be large enough to secure all the items I wanted to store but am pleasantly surprised that all my items fit, and I still have lots of room for additional items. A few of the disclaimers on storing pearls, negatives and floppy disks prompts me to do a little research on items such as SD cards and flash drives.

I put a verticle file organizer inside and can place all my important papers with 8 1/2 x 11 file folders upright for efficient storage and retrieval. And still have room for the 2 drawers above that for other things like precious metals, jewelry, etc. Registration was easy as well as setting my personal combination. My only complaint is the plastic handle. Feels like it’s bending each time I open the safe door. I feel it’ll break off eventually. I hope not. I wish they sprung for a metal handle.
